Our
History Pendle Forge was
established in June 1998, by Roy and Margaret Blomfield.
Roy's father, Maurice Blomfield
ran a wrought iron and metal work business in Nelson,
Lancashire, England. Roy began in the trade as an apprentice to his
father finishing as a highly qualified craftsman. The business provided machinery
parts for the Lancashire cotton industry, and ornate
gates and fencing for the retail market. Examples of
gates can still be seen in the front gardens of many
houses around north east Lancashire today.
In 1997 Roy and Margaret emigrated to New
Zealand to be with family and then opened Pendle Forge in Kamo, Whangarei,
bringing Roy's expertise to the area. The quality of his work provides excellent reference to his ability.
