Finishing

Stock wrought iron products are finished with a multi-layer spray paint process. As black is the most requested colour, many of the items in our showroom are finished in black. However other colours may be available in stock, please call. For a modest price supplement, we will be happy to make a stock item with an alternative colour of your choice.

Made to order products are available unfinished, hot dip galvanised or painted or both galvanised and painted. Hot dip galvanising protects the metalwork for a longer period outdoors, and is recommended for all outdoor items.

Regular maintenance will be required to combat inevitable corrosion resulting from wear and tear, and from the weather. Maintenance is not included in the original price of the product supplied by Pendle Forge.

Fitting

We have many years experience of fitting gates to ensure correct swing and secure hanging, also with stair balustrades, fireguards, and railings. Fitting is recommended especially with balustrades. If you lack the expertise to fit the made to order product we will be happy to fit it for you, the price for which will be included in the quote.

It is essential that measurements Pendle Forge ask to be provided are very accurate and represent the actual situation. Pendle Forge will make to the exact measurements within the agreed design, and cannot be responsible for fitting problems that result from incorrect measurements provided.
